Meaning of Title

The broca's area is part of the brain. It is "the section of the human brain that is involved in language processing, speech production and comprehension."(answers.com). In giving my blog the title broca’s area, I gave it a little depth. The language English is being processed in the brain, to be more specific in the broca’s area, of course that’s not the only area of the brain where language and speech is associated with. In this class, I know we will be processing a lot of information on how to comprehend literature in different ways, find more meaning in it, and be aware of how society and literature interact; which brings me back to the brain, where all this information will be consumed. I tried to be creative and give my blog a personal meaning, thereby naming it Broca’s Area, which relates to the personal path I’m taking and to the class I’m taking. My major is neurology, the study of the brain, I am aware that it is a complex subject, but that is what intrigues me the most about it, also it is the most vital organ in the body. It controls everything, from keeping your heart beating to lifting a finger. I’ve already gained a lot of knowledge about the brain, the different parts and functions and the nervous system but I know I’ve got plenty left to discover and learn.
